Now that Las Vegas Labrador Rescue is an official "not for profit" rescue per the IRS, we will be periodicallyapplying for grants to help us with the everyday expenses of rescuing dogs. Those in the rescue field know that this means not only the "pull fee" to remove the dog from a shelter, but also food, vet bills and supplies. We also rescue dogs from out of state, and there are transportation costs involved as well. We are currently participating in a grant that you might be able to help us with! This one is quite simple. Spaghetti Dinner a Complete Success!!!

Thank you to all of our supporters for coming out in numbers to Annie's Gourmet Italian last Wednesday Evening. It was a great evening filled with yummy food and festivities. We do not have the official head count yet. but it is safe to say it exceeded our expectations. The silent auction and raffle prizes were a big hit, and we would like to thank all the wonderful businesses and individuals who provided beautiful baskets and raffle items. Without these items, we would not have been as successful. It was great to see 11 families in attendance that have adopted from us in the past months, as well as meet several families that are interested in adopting in the future as well. We had quite a few doggies dining with us that evening and Annie's pampered them with their own bowl of meatballs. We look forward to planning other events such as this in the future, so please keep following this blog for the details! Now, let go out and save more labbies!!!

Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction is Next Week!!!

Wow, it is with great enthusiasm that we post today about our next event. Wednesday May 16, 2012 will be our Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction at Annie's Gourmet Italian. This event takes place from 6:30pm-8:30pm. We will have more than a dozen fantastic auction items to bid on and another dozen or more great raffle prizes. Please get your dinner tickets today, as this event is almost a sell-out. Tickets may not be available at the door. Dinner Buffet includes: Spaghetti & Meat Balls, Caesar Salad, Bread, Beverage & Dessert. Beer and Wine available. Ticket prices are $20.00 for Adults and $10.00 for children 10 and under. LVLR is heading to Woofstock on Saturday April 28

Hi LVLR followers, We will be at Woofstock this Saturday from 8:00am-12:00pm. LVLR has busy weekend!

Thank you so much for coming out to visit us this past weekend at Pet a Palooza on Saturday and our 1st Annual Earth Day Rummage Sale on Sunday. Both were a huge success! Pet a Palooza gave us a chance to showcase our 3 available labs Cole, Freckles and T-Bone. Even though the weather was in the 90's-100's, our dogs kept their cool and were extreme gentlemen. The Earth Day Rummage Sale proved to be very successful. We took in record donations and will be able to further our efforts in rescuing,rehabilitating and re-homing some really awesome dogs. Thank you all for your support! And many thanks to our LVLR team! We really have a great group of volunteers behind a great rescue. ADVERTISING DEADLINE INFORMATION

April 30, 2012 will be the last day to submit advertising for our Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction program. If you would like to place your business card, half page or full page ad, please email us as soon as possible. We can forward the forms and make it happen. The ads and cards need to be in jpg or gif format.

Sizes for ads are as follows:
Business cards (3 per page) $10.00 per card
Full page 5.5 x 8.5               $20.00
half page 5.5 x 4.25             $30.00


SILENT AUCTION AND RAFFLE DONATIONS

April 30, 2012 will also be the last day to submit a raffle item or silent auction basket.
A free business card ad will be provided to those who donate an item to the rescue at this time.
We appreciate any and all items, does not have to be dog themed. Some suggestions would be restaurant certificates,  show tickets, beauty treatments, sporting equipment and department store gift cards. Hand crafted items are also appreciated.
